Hello all,
Just wandering what's going on with thickness on the reverse?
Is It some kind of doubling or just LDS?
Thank you for your input!

Could it be a possible double struck with all the devices on the reverse being dramatically enlarged?

I agree with E&V and Coinfrog, looks like a late die state and some DDD.

Know what areas are affected on dies for die wear and doubled dies, helps to know the differences. On the single squeeze nickels the DDR is on the center of the design on the door area on the building: (While there are none listed for this year/mint other years so have them) 2012

Note the locations to look for these DDR's on the nickels. That will save you time, looking in the wrong areas can be pointless. But sometimes new doubled dies are found. (If a special event happened during the dies creation where the single squeeze process was interupted an re-started creating a normal doubled because of the double hubbing. Most of the time for the single squeeze dies, the DDR is formed by a wrong alignment, that snaps into the correct location after a kiss on the die in the wrong location with the hub. This snap will affect the central devices. Thus why we need to look in a different location for the doubled dies)
