Dear friends, colleagues and experts.
Please help to ID the denarius of Commodus.
I can't find such a coin in the catalogues.
There is an averse with M COMM ANT P FEL AVG BRIT P(P) .
But the reverse is not reverse with YROVDEOR TPP XVI COS III?
May be it is a barbaric imitation or mule?
Weight 2, 68 g
Thanks for any information.

I don't collect ancients, and only have a few examples in my possession, but I have seen a bunch (so take my observations for what they are)

too well centered and too well struck, patina looks off.

that combined with the wrong die pairs = my guess fake

The seller does not insist on the authentity of the coin. He sells it as imitation!

Weight is very light; my guess is a fouree or ancient counterfeit, bronze flan coated in silver and struck from dies prepared from a circulated coin. Fourree denarii copying second century issues are common, and often have mixed up reverses. Check in the cracks with a loupe and see if you can see a copper core.
