Looks like MD or DDD below the mint mark, and maybe a plating bubble next to it?

Can you explain what that is? I've never heard this term.

When I'm getting a big head about all I know, I always need to come here to have my ego pummeled.

It's common to see bubbles, blisters and liner plating blisters on zinc plated Lincoln cents. It's usually caused by zinc dust on the planchet allowing the copper plating to lift after the coin has been struck.

Some coins have one or two blisters and some have lots. It's not an error because it's not something that happens after the coin is struck.
