Do you think it's worth getting graded so I can sell it

The value in BU shape is probably worth maybe 25 cents in a coin store retail. To have it graded would cost you at least 100-200 times more than it is worth. Sound like a good deal to you?

Sharper pics would help, but from what I can see of the obverse fields, this is just a spender.

Just a spender. Not enough demand for common LMC that have been circulated even though they look nice. Collectors have mint sewn bags of these with 95-99% of the coins in Gem Brilliant Uncirculated condition. I have 10,000+ 1974-D LMC that I bought for face many years ago.

Also... please handle your coins only by the edges. Fingerprints can KILL the value of a rare coin and can't be removed once they form. I used white cotton gloves when handling uncirculated or any copper coins in an effort to keep fingerprints away, but I'm a stickler for keeping them as I found them for the following generations of numismatist.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

A typical '74-D with light wear and decent luster. Many, many exist.

This is a 1945D Wheat penny in better shape. It's worth about $6...
You need to read up and look for key dates... those are the only ones worth slabbing...
