Each year, the annual Charlton guide has a variety section in the back ... each year is a different denomination or monarch for the series that have lots of varieties/errors. The best ones started with the large cents in 2011. I think that the Haxby annual guide with whitman is the best all around that has coins AND tokens and most popular varieties are in there .. more than Charlton.
Also look into the CoinsAndCanada website that includes many many errors/varieties by date/denomination.
