This is my first ever attributed doubled die on a Lincoln Cent. Found it today in the second penny box I've ever hunted. Found out my bank does drive through banking in a way that doesn't require any contact with a person, so I'll be able to coin roll hunt while quarantining, which I'm very excited about! I'm still working my way through the box, and I have a few other suspected doubled dies I haven't attributed yet that I plan to post later, but this one was exciting because it had the reverse die chip to 100% confirm it!

The coin is showing some Machine Doubling. But also looks like a possible DDO. (Which can happen as doubled dies are on the die, Machine Doubling can alter both normal and doubled dies) I see it on some of Liberty devices. It is best to make side by sides, then you can see the spread on a doubled die.

@coop, I'm talking about the extra thickness on the "TY" of liberty. The die chip above "PLU" on the reverse and the extra thickness both match WDDO-003

Well extra thickness is Machine Doubling. The EPU is incuse on the Shield cents. So if John's example is showing enlarged devices, that would have to be Machine Doubling.
I didn't realize there were so many already for that year.
Did you look at WDDO-018?

Looks like image gonna need a set/s of images for this year on Liberty. The shape of the 'Y' and 'R' was what I was looking at?

Great find! It's the real deal! It's a genuine DDO with Machine Doubling (it happens).

Sorry, Coop, but you're still confused. The extra thickness is on "LIBERTY." The "PLU" is not part of the doubling, it's only there to show the die chip above it on the shield, which is a die marker for this variety.

That die chip is not always a good guide. They change shape and it is the most common area for die chips.

This should help speed up the process a bit. These are just the ones with doubling on 'ERTY' or full Liberty. Seems like most of these are more common.

Thanks Errers! Very proud of my first US coin with doubling on the devices (rather than the center doubling coins that seem to be most common in the single-squeeze hubbing era). Found the deutsche Marks and the 100 Pesos that I think you saw last week, but awesome to finally find my first on a US coin!

@coop, I really don't mean to sound like I don't value your input, because you've given me great guidance in the past, but I'm 100% positive on this one. I didn't make a side-by-side because I only have MS Paint for photo editing, and I'd be here all day, but here's an image of my coin (first picture) and a regular 2019 (second picture) for reference.

Here's two more you should look for on the 2019 LSC's. WDDO-011 and WDDO-016 (my discovery coin). WDDO-016 is a good one! http://doubleddie.com/2474337.html

Look for all of them actually, but the best one are the two I mentioned. WDDO-003 is also a great one!

Thanks, Errers! I was looking for them all, actually! Decided to go for even the really trivial stuff because I was determined to get my first. Sadly, none of the really dramatic ones on the date, but I'm pretty pleased with this one, since it's pretty visible as far as extra thickness DDOs go (I can actually see it with my naked eye just looking at it in the 2x2!)

SamCoin,
Are you using more than one light source? You should also filter your light.

WDDO-003 Match! Note the width the 'T' the inside 'Y' and the 'R' are a match. Markers only count if the spread is a match.
