Hello there. Hope you are all well and stay safe.
Can anybody suggest how to place the coins in the album. I was thinking of putting them according to the country but the problem is that, let's say my country, Malta, the size of the coins is different and so cannot be put in the same pocket. Please give me some ideas as I am new to this.

Thanks

Briffant

No storage solution is perfect.

A lot of people start off with albums as a way to store their coins but I'm not personally a fan. One way to get around your problem is to get album pockets that hold standard carboard flips with different sized windows. It looks neater than other options.

For a diverse collection of world coins, 2x2 flips with the pages to fit are sufficient for 95%-98% of coins. The clear mylar 2x2s will hold most of the rest. 2 1/2 flips (available in cardboard and mylar) will cover all but the very largest.

Agree that standard flips are probably your best option, using 3-ring albums with standard pocket pages.

Looks like everyone already beat me to suggesting those 2x2 flips and those plastic 20 pocket pages.

The problem with the 20 pocket pages is it doesn't scale well. I'm up to around 2,000 world coins, and 1,000 pages would be around $325 for pages plus binders.

Does anyone have any plans for making a wooden storage crate for 2x2s?

You only need 100 pages, not 1000. Unless you meant to say 20,000 coins in which case I am impressed!
