Hi all, I'm fairly new here and have looked many places over the internet regarding these coins but finally got frustrated and decided to ask your opinion about them. IMO, the 87 appears to have a bowl type appearance as the inside of the coming slightly raises to the rim causing a gap between the letters "B&E" in LIBERTY and I'm not sure what to think about the "I" in LIBERTY. Also Lincoln's forehead and nose seem to appear slightly doubled. The 1964 may show some doubling also. And I can't find any info out on the 1986 or if there is anything wrong with it. Any advice and comments are much appreciated. Thank you for your time! &

@TO, first welcome to CCF. Second, best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin. That helps us later when we are searching through threads trying to find something specific. It isn't a big deal, but please do this for next time. With respect to your '86-D cent, it looks to me like something mechanical has rolled over the rims, enlarging them and causing them to fold over onto the edges of the letters. We often describe this type of damage as a "dryer cent" as industrial dryers cause similar damage.

to CCF. The 86 is a Dryer Coin. The 87 looks like DDD,die deterioration doubling aka a worn die. Need close ups on the 64. Please rotate photos properly before posting them...thanks
