The problem is two fold... one is the price on the sticker is almost 2x the auction ($8K) or retail price of the coin ($11K, maybe a smidge higher in PCGS plastic). Plus whatever the value of a pinch of gold dust is worth.
Balance that against the cachet of the shipwreck...
The second problem is that the find significantly increased the population of these coins... the trajectory is all wrong... are there enough buyers interested?
2/19 auction was 12K, 7/19 auction was 11K, 11/19 was 9K and 1/20 just over 8K.
The PCGS population in MS-65 is 1,044 - NGC is just 124. You have to think that a big part of the difference is the SS Central America coins.
On the other hand, it's a shipwreck coin from a wreck with a fabulous history...
