Last week I posted this thread http://goccf.com/t/371382 about a 1971 D Memorial cent I found with a minor obverse die clash, and a strange "missing" piece of one of the memorial columns, which was identified as the beginning stages of a die chip. Yesterday, while going through a box of pennies, I confirmed it. Here's that coin's younger brother with the same clash marks on the obverse and the die chip fully formed.

That is neat you found a pair of coins so close together that shows the die cracks with the progression of the Die Deterioration.
This one is more fully-formed and would have been created after the other one, so yes that would make this one the younger "brother".

(I think it was Coop that shared some coins before showing the progression of severe Die Deterioration in the form of an interior die break.)

Looks like die clash as well above date in shape of deteriorated die. Cool find!

Very neat to capture a couple different cents along the same pathway of die degeneration. Well done @sc!
