"Awake" Game Show - Count Loose Coins For 24 Hours

So it's quarantine time and the wife just started watching this new game show on Netflix called Awake.

Premise of the game:

- Contestants have to go into a room for 24 hours and count as many loose quarters as they can from a giant bin of $1,000,000 face value. No methods of keeping track except for memory
- After 24 straight hours, they have to estimate the face value of what they counted
- Lowest count and least accurate guess get eliminated
- Remainder of players must compete in "minute to win it" style challenges with significantly reduced concentration and coordination
- Last one standing wins whatever they counted (usually between $15,000 - 30,000)
- They can wager their winnings against the total that all contestants counted (usually between $100,000-200,000) if they feel confident that their count is within $500 of the actual count
- If they win that, they can wager their new winnings against the pot of $1M if they feel confident that their count is within $25 of the actual count



First off, I'd be in hog heaven! Just imagine how many silver quarters must be in a bucket that big!

Second, I feel like all the years many of us have spent CRH-ing would make us uniquely qualified for a game like this - in my heyday, I had a system that allowed me to count out and roll up a full box of nickels in about 20 minutes with minimal counting, and I feel like it wouldn't be hard to scale that up to 4,000 quarters at a time.

Most contestants were off by at least a couple hundred dollars, and many were off by $1,000 or more.
