I'd never elect to call any coin something offensive, but this 1897 is tired. However, is there anything visible that would warrant a grading fee? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Just looks like a normal circulated cent. Very worn. I cant tell from the pics if there is anything like an RPD. Need a clear close shot of the date

Kloccwork419, yeah I felt that, just don't have the experience to make that call alone. Thank you.

I'll work on some clearer pics. I'm limited to less than perfect camera phone.

I would grade this G-04 at best, value about a dollar.

Not worth the fees. 2x2 and put it away.

Even if there was something was there, the grading fees would exceed the value because of coin wear.

G-4 and border line "details". A .75-1.00 coin at best. Not a candidate for a $30 grading fee.

Looks like it was buried or something. Maybe G-04 but given the surfaces condition I'll say AG-03.
