Looking for some help with this Magnetius.
DN MAGNENTIVS PF AVG - A to left of head.
Reverse: GLORIA ROMANORVM emperor (no sheild spearing barbarian kneeling left with * over horse head, SAR mint. I was sure it was Ric VIII 155 Var but there is no L on the left of the emperor on horse. I also assume it has been mounted at some point maby as jewelry, would that he the most likely cause of the indentations top and bottom?
Any help would be great, thanks &

RIC VIII, p. 214, Arles 151, officina S. I agree, it appears to have been shaved for mounting. Could also be evidence of fakery, I suppose, but I'm inclined to think it's genuine.

Thank you for your help. Yes I hope your right with the authenticity of it as I love this coin. It has also crossed my mind but I assumed it may have been used in Jewellery or some form of fastening as I have seen similar on other genuine coins
