Hadrian Sestertius - Beautiful But Strange Lines

A re-inspired collector who found his old penny collection from junior high and decided to plunge back in again. What do you make of this Hadrian sestertius (AE) coin. I think the portrait is beautiful, but the strange, lined markings on the neck seem out of sorts. This is a NGC certified XF coin, but still, are the lines a normal characteristic of this kind of specimen? Report this Post to the Staff
