Not for sure what is going on with this.

I doubt it is relating to a doubled die, but I want to know if this is either a lucky weird type of PMD, or this is a different type of doubling like MD.

Thank you

Looks like a stain. The ear isn't doubled

I can assure you, it isn't a stain.

Now that I look at it from several angles, looks more like an lucky PMD, as there is a surprising cut that runs across the ear. However when the cut hits the earlobe, it vanishes, leaving the earlobe cutless, and still looking slightly doubled.

Again, it is not a stain, my guess is shelf MD but again, not for sure.

Are you referring to the giant stain on the earlobe or that tiny piece under it thats barely visible? All I see is a big stained earlobe. Maybe an arrow or a closer shot would have helped

Interesting, I am unsure what it is as well. Maybe some other input would help.

Again, I am rather confused where you see a stain, there is no stain anywhere near the earlobe. I have looked at this thing from all directions, I know how to tell the difference between a stain, and a piece of metal.

I'm not someone to toss aside ideas that people say. That's how I built my knowledge in the first place.

But please, take my word for it that there is no stain. I have a very good microscope, and I've come across several stains.

One of the members that is most well known, John, is also agreeing with me. You do not have the coin in hand, I do.

The bottom edge of the ear lobe looks higher off the surface than norm. Might be a slight shadow and or finger print grime?

Not entirely for sure to be honest. When I look at it under the microscope, shows no sign of a shadow or finger marks. Might have possibly been PMD that pushed it slightly upwards if I'm thinking about it.
