Originally I pulled this one for a closer look as it looked like maybe a split lower serif and/or a mild RPM west. Ended up kinda agreeing that I was right, it has a mild RPM west and a split lower serif, but much too minor for me to worry about further.

While examining the coin I noticed an odd curve near the upper serif (which itself seems missing), and then an odd triangle off to the east of that.

I am not sure this coin has one thing on it worth further notice, but thought I'd post it as it can be interesting to just sort of muse over what might be what, where and when. One image has some arrows and such to show what I saw.

1943-S Lincoln Wheat cent - fun one to think about RPMs

Looks like the 943 are showing MD?

On the east side, the devices all flow towards the rim as the die ages. (all devices)
West side is showing metal push from MD. (note this on the date also)
But on a RPM, you have to see spread in order for it to be a RPM:

Note on this coin. Note how large the mintmark is? It is not a RPM. Why? No spread between the punchings. Spread denotes direction of a different punching:

Look for the spread on RPM and doubled dies as well.
