....when I'm roll searching. I love picking out BU coins! Where was this coin hiding all these years? 26 years old and under-appreciated. This coin has tons of luster. It stood out like a bright light when I broke the roll.

yep... most definitely a nice CRH find. What are you grading it at?
I can't decide if it's UNC or not. The reverse makes me think AU, but I can't see anything on the obverse that would suggest AU.
So I'll go with either AU 53 or MS 61.

Great eye appeal, I give it an MS63. It has no signs of wear.

I just found this little gem in a roll today. Not as fine as Thad's but a little beauty nonetheless. My scanner doesn't show the luster but this one is beautiful. Image: img043.jpg53.76 KB Image: img044.jpg60.01 KB

Nice find Hock! Here's an AU red 66 I found recently. Where was it hiding the last 42 years? It was in a plastic Brinks roll!

Thad - Is the photo in your first post the real deal and not a Zincoln? It sure looks like a copper cent to me. Since '82 I haven't taken to Lincolns at all. '09 will bring us some real cents again though! '82 was the year I graduated from high school so I know it's been downhill since then!

I believe it's a small date copper.

Nice find. I always wondered if people kept these au/bu coins found in bank rolls. I do, and have been for a few months now. I have a one gallon zip-lock bag full. Obviously some dates are harder to fin than others, but I've been finding a lot of 76's and 79's lately for some reason. I just don't have the heart to throw them back.
