We all know that the left edge of the shield on the reverse on the Lincoln Shield cent is known for its die cracks and chips. Of course, I found one with a die chip, but then something else. I am not for sure what this is to be honest. Is it PMD? Thanks!

Yes the metal above the letter L in PLURIBUS does look smushed to me. I think that it is damage.

I've seen it before and wondered. But because your image show the strength of devices, it hit me that the die must have been brittle, thus why it slivered like glass, instead of leaving a void like normal die chips, this broke away differently. I'll continue to see if I can see other examples and see if my theory is correct.

That is a very interesting theory that I must agree with. It does make sense as well, the brittleness would cause an effect like that.
Would these be rare? I mean, again, they are just die chips in general but again, I've never seen anything like this, and it seems that you've only seen a few. Just curious if this would be considered "uncommon."

I would think no premium for these. They are not a die variety. I'm probably the first one who linked this issue to your coin. So I'd mark it as a discovery coin and save it. But probably not a premium though.

Would it be considered a (IDB) Interior Die Break ?

Not quite large enough yet to be called that. 1. Die crack : the crack doesn't lose die metal. 2. Die chip: some metal falls off the die. 3. Die break: a large void is now seen on the dies coins showing a larger looking chip. (Basically the chip is enlarging more and more each strike)
