I have the 1976 DDO-001 and I would not criticize you or your cent. The R on in the word TRUST does not show the doubling on the lower right leg. I posted a 1974 D earlier tonight that the E in WE looks like it came from a class Six doubled die but I don't think that it is like I do not believe your 1976 isn't either.

Also showing DDD as well as Machine Doubling. VLDS die state when this coin was struck.
1976-LMC-With-Doubling-Of-One-Sort-Or-Another
These are from two different dies. DDO-001 and WDDO-001 The DDO-003 is the match for WDDO-001:
1976-LMC-With-Doubling-Of-One-Sort-Or-Another
1976-LMC-With-Doubling-Of-One-Sort-Or-Another
So comparing your coin to the 'I' on Liberty, then you will see that your coin is not a DDO.
