@mr.e, first welcome to CCF. Second, the flatness of Washington's portrait looks like damage rather than a mint error.

@Spence, thank you! I'm 3 years into this and have learned a lot from my coin mentor. There are things I'd like to learn on my own and also would like more than just one opinion on. So I appreciate your thoughts on the coin :) even if it is damage, it is crazy to me that the rest of the detail made the coin but not his face

Lets start with basics:
1. Weight: If normal then it maybe a Struck Through Grease error. If the coin is light it could be damage to the coin or the planchet is under weight.
2. I don't see coin scratches? If the coin scratches were there on the obverse, then it may be damage. But I'm not seeing that.
3. The inside of the edges are firm, so that could be a Struck Through Grease issue.
4. Reverse looks normal. So more information would be helpful. #1 weight.

@Coop I'll have to do some more research on this, as I said I am fairly new in the last 3 years. I'll check the weight and get back to you guys
(EDIT) I checked the weight on a scale at work and it says 6 grams, but I am not 100% sure if it rounds up to the nearest gram
