What are the lines on the obverse, air bubble ? Need CCF professionals to grade or worth being graded.
Thank you all for your look and opinion.

What holder is it in? Lines look like linear trail gas bubbles. Also looks like trapped zinc dust issue.I would not send in.

Can you remove it from the holder? Hard to say whether it's on the coin or holder.

The fact that the coin in question appears to be in a holder has me interested. Wonder if a grade has already been provided.

Plating issues affect the eye appeal here - I'd say MS-63 RD.

to the CCF!

Nice coin but the linear plating bubbles hurt it IMO.

The line really doesn't bother me that much...this happens in the die process and the way it was struck....Nothing tells me it was human intervention that caused it to happen.
Also, This appears to be a possible DDO? I see in LIBERTY which appears mostly in the "LIB" some doubling. Closer examination since I can't blow up the pic would give me a better point of reference.
Like the reverse as the steps look to be almost full.
I still believe one day that the memorial steps will become a grading criteria much like Jefferson nickles...just saying!

Bob, you have a very nice cent piece and it could possibly grade a 66 or higher...That's just IMHO...and my eye and what I see. Good Luck On The Coin...It's A Keeper!

small circular plating blisters as well as a few linear plating blisters on the obverse, MS64, maybe MS65, it's not "clean enough" to grade higher I think.

I don't think this blister thing is "post mint damage", more like pre-strike damage or planchet making flaws, if anything for this to occur, and I don't think it hurts the grade if this coin was much cleaner, I've seen coins with this appearance from NGC or PCGS graded as high as MS68, but I don't think it has much collector appeal compared to ones without blisters. I think they don't mark it down for it being there as long as the plating hasn't ruptured.

This example is nice but the marks on the coin besides the blisters like the one near the "I" of "IN" would keep it below a 65 by themselves and not really a candidate for grading.
If it would grade higher, maybe, but again, it's a small market for really clean, non-ruptured, high graded, cents with plating blisters. the value really isn't there and it would be a hard sell compared to a same graded "free of blisters" cent of the same year and mintmark.

I seriously don't think the grading companies deduct for it, but the buyers likely would which is why I'd say it not worthwhile to slab it unless you just like it and want it for your own collection.... Now if it would hit MS68RD or 68+ possible candidate for first of top pop at MS69, it might be worth the shot.

I see what villagekid sees also with Liberty, but I think it's going to be from the blisters. I don't see much hint of it in the In god we trust so I dont' think it's the DDO.

Hi Gentlemen Ladies

The Lincoln is in a round capsule, and not graded. I appreciate all opinions , it just a nice red coin with nice eye appeal. The line of air bubbles is cool looking as must are burst that give the coin an ugly worthless look. I thought this coin might be a 66 or higher, worth grading. I'm learning more history from expert opinions , and enjoy this site. Have a good day and be safe.

Assuming it's not PMD, which doesn't seem to be the case, I'd be at MS-66 for this one. Surfaces are beautiful and there is not much in the way of distracting marks.
