Hello,
I've had this quarter for awhile an entertaining
the thought of having it graded by either PCGS or NGC.
The quarter has lots of luster and detail but does have what some refer as "die errors" Just want the folks on here to look at it and hopefully give their professional opinion of the coin and possibly a grade. Tried to take the best pics that reflect a trueness of the coin.
Hope there's enough detail for all to see?
Thanks For Reading And Looking At It!
Cheers!

What error are you seeing? It would need to have a retail value after slabbing of $150-200 to justify all costs involved in having it slabbed. What did the coin cost you?

Not so sure about your so-called errors , lots of luster but I think could be somewhat of a light strike . A few issues on obverse . MS-63 .

OK...the reverse star region areas (evidence of die cracks) About 8:00 to 9:00 since I have the quarter tilted a little in the pic. There's a DC from rim to star. The other DC is about 5:00 to 6:00 from star to lower breast of the eagle.

Also, there is a Die Clash on reverse. Vertical from "A-E" of States down to the 4th-7th tips of left wing of eagle.
These observations are better in hand than my pics show but they are definitely there.

My question?...Does this hurt the coin for grading or not?
Maybe that's just a hypothetical but I do see folks having coins graded with error designations. I don't see this particular coin listed anywhere having these errors. Don't know if to send and have it evaluated by an expert that deals in error coins or just leave it alone and just send it to PCGS or NGC. I guess you can say: "I'm having that cup of coffee moment.."

Die cracks carry no premium, and in most cases neither do clashes (except in extreme cases). So the "errors" have no value.
