So I'm trying to decide if I want to have this 2020 W RP Nickel graded. There's a pretty large mark on it and I'm not sure how that would affect the grade. It is not a scratch, the surface is just smoother than the field around it as you can see in the 2nd pic, it nearly disappears. The other 2 dark spots nearby are similar -- not PMD since it's smoother and is more mirror-like than the field. My guess is it's a struck through of some sort maybe?

Looks like a very minor struck through debris, maybe a piece of wire or thread? Not worth grading IMHO.

Ok good to know, in that case I won't send it in. But if it were to be graded hypothetically would the strike through affect the grade for NGC?

Thanks GrapeCollects. A follow up question is how small can a struck through be to not affect the grade? I have another RP nickel with a small but noticeable (and only under 10x magnification) struck through on the obverse device that's otherwise flawless. I had to take pics through the plastic bag since I haven't decided if I wanted to keep it or not.
