Hi Everyone.
I am wondering is the rim of this cent a Partial Collar Strike? I did try to do some research but would like to know if what I am thinking is correct.

Thank you for looking in advance.

Can you take a pic of the rim? And is it out of round? It appears to be so based off those pics but we probably need a little bit more info to completely confirm

Does not seem to be out of round against another cent.
Weight 3.1 gr - Is this what you needed for rim pics?

A close up of the rim -

I think this is what you were asking for. The shine spot is the left side, just a touch above where the word LIBERTY is located.

Damaged coin. People see these in the holders and think, this looks like a very nice coin. But after the coin is removed, it really is a damaged coin. The pressing the coin into the holder damages the coin. So leave them in the holders. At least in the holder, there's still a premium. Out of the holder, you have a damaged coin.

This is what they looked like before the coin was removed:

So best to leave them in the holders and sell them that way. At least you will get more than face value for them.

John1 called it! It's unusual in that a simple regular cent would be formally uncased. It must have been used for someone's birth year or other occasion. Now you know more about it. Yes, it's PMD, but worth keeping for the education.

to the CCF!

Keep in mind the years? Years ago one cent was a valid amount. Not something you'd find tossed in to a parking lot. When I started working, the minimum wage was $1.00 per hour. In my Father's Day, he received $5.00 a week working six days many hours per day. So one cent meant something in different time periods.
