Are you sure that second one is not a different die? The direction of the doubling seems to be opposite to the first in my eye.

Tanman2001, good eye! I didn't have a chance to do any type of comparison when I first found it as I've had a lot going on recently. When I found it I was on a roll and just took a couple of quick photos and put it in a 2x2 and into my doubled die coin safe with the other for later.

I will create a new post with comparisons for the newly discovered 1976 Doubled Die Obverse Type 2.

Now type 1 just got bumped up to being even more elusive than I thought, it came down to a completely new discovery instead of finding a second example.
Finding and discovering modern Canadian doubled die varieties since 2018.
