I've seen that unusual alloy tone in all sorts of ways. Might be authentic. F15

Definitely not acid dipped and definitely not toned these things have been locked away in a plastic tube which was in a military dry box for the last 60 years.

Very strong F15. Personally, I like the toning--not that highly-suspect, 'over-the-top' monster toning stuff one finds on ebay.

F12 range. If anything else, the toning helps keeps it in that range or possibly higher and doesn't detour or distract away from the overall presentation of the coin. At a show (if priced according to a F12) it would be gobbled up as a filler.
