I have a habit of just sticking my change in my pocket then checking it when I get home. Yesterday I went to the dollar store and when I got home found this mixed in with my change. Composition-Cheap plastic. Wt.-0.63 gm MM - = Now my question. Do you think this rare Lincoln Cent should be sent in to a TPG for grading? What grade do you think it would get? I've also thought of just listing it on ebay as an extremely rare off metal error. Any advice you could give me will be truly appreciated.

I think you have a chance for top pop with this, and don't forget about CAC.

Looks like the reverse die was over-polished(?) I'm seeing a floating roof, Abe is missing from the Memorial building and FG is missing. This has to be a rare one worth $$$$ on Esty or ebay.

I found one of these in a bank roll before. I guess they're legal tender now?

Yeah lol, granted if the Mint were to sell individual pennies with a "numismatic premium" they'd probably be around 10 cents or so.

I'm not sure, but I believe back in 2008 and 2009 when they sold rolls of cents they were $3 per roll. With inflation they would probably charge at least $4 per roll today so 8 cents apiece. Of course that's a bulk sale. If they packaged them up say as a three coin set, they would be more.

You can buy uncirculated sets of these at the Dollar Store. They have them in the toy section for some reason.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
