As far as I know, a series of $ 1 coins with US presidents is issued after 2 years from the date of the president's death. It's right? If this is so, does not it seem to you that this series of coins can last indefinitely?

Subsection 8 of the legislation states that the program ends when all presidents who have been deceased at least two years have been honored. An act of Congress is the only way to continue with further presidents, such as the legislation to include George H.W. Bush.
In other words, the program is over, unless Congress passes laws to make more.

Correct. Any additions are as an act of congress. It's so it doesn't have to run on forever unless they want it to.

However, IF Trump proclaims himself to be King, then an entire new series would have to start with all our Kings on them.

And in 2015/16 there were conspiracy theorists saying the same thing about Obama, that he would declare martial law over the economy problem and postpone/eliminate the elections and just stay on as President.

We need to veer away from the political pondering.

In another 20 years when all concerned have passed, and in an alternate reality, it would have been interesting to see a Bill/Hillary set followed by a Hillary/Bill set.

I have to agree with that one, it would have been interesting. And if things lined up right, the would have book-ended a particular year.

Great series - once sold one to a kid for $5 CDN - I tried to convince him to buy a silver coin but I don't think he understood value - just shiny.
