This quarter is not attractive & has been artificially toned but the reverse stood out has possibly missing a clad layer. It weighs 5.57 g. I gave it an acetone dip but it didn't do much to remove anything visible. Is this environmental & human damage or possible clad error? Thanks!

Here's a Washington quarter missing the obverse clad layer. This Bonding Error reduces the weight of the coin about 1 gram and usually causes a weak strike as seen in the photo.
