sorry, but how can it be silver if it is a clad coin? you answered your own question when you posted it..
Perhaps enlighten us to why you thought it may be silver when you saw the copper edge..

That is interesting...it does have the weight of a 40% coin. A clad would weigh slightly less, like 11.3? But I think the reeding is pretty obviously a clad coin.

  Maybe a heavy planchet, but not a 40% silver. Not the edges image.

How many times do I have to say that you can't tell a 40% silver half from a coppernickel clad half by weight. Their tolerance ranges overlap so much that a weight from 11.1 to 11.9 would be acceptable to either composition.
