Picked out this Georgivs III copper from a NY flea mkt. bowl of misc. 19th century European coins. 27 mm 7 grams - P-01 or F-02? - half penny or farthing? - 1775 or 1776? - counterfeit of a counterfeit? Probably planted in the bowl to instill false hope of a Machin's Mills. :-( FuryCoins - It was several years ago at a summertime open-air in the Catskills, somewhere near Phoenicia, if I remember. The weight is what tells me it's counterfeit. A contemporary counterfeit isn't really a bad thing, though I suppose there is a chance it is a modern counterfeit of a contemporary counterfeit.
