hey,

i used to hunt in los angeles all the time. still do once in a while. that's where I found that 1923s SLQ in my post in the other forum. I have found old coins in the following parks: griffith, elysian, lincoln and hollenbeck. I have hunted parks all over SoCal. there's a million of 'em.

where have you hunted and what were your best finds?

I've heard that checking the stretch of grass between the sidewalks and the street tends to yield quite a few coins.

I live just south of L.A in Orange County, and you can pretty much just coin shoot in any park. Try local schools as well. Some of the older schools in L.A might still have some silver waiting to be found.
