Hello guys,
I am quite new with these one cent coins. What do you think about them? Can you see some errors? Is it normal that there is no mint mark on 1972 coin? What about this hole marked with the red arrow on the 1976?

Greetings :)

Both coins look harshly cleaned. The no mint mark was minted at the Philadelphia mint. The red arrow area looks like a very minor MAD= misaligned die.

Agree. Not sure if you cleaned these or just found them this way, but NEVER clean any coins with numismatic value.

Please post one coin per thread--one photo of the obverse and one photo of the reverse per coin. An additional photo or two of a specific area can be posted as needed. One coin per thread makes it easier for us to focus on a particular issue or question.

Thanks!

Both are off color for a LMC and, as noted, they look cleaned. The doubled rim could be a collar clash showing because of the slight MAD.

I have just noticed I have a very similar 1972 one cent! I suppose that should be a relatively common thing for one cents and that year.
