I'm wondering what this this and where it's from. found in a bag of foreign coins. Copper I think, 33 mm diameter, 1.5 mm thick and approx 8.64 grams.

I believe that it may be a "Magic Coin" or Pilgrim token originating in Malaysia/South East Asia and given to those taking the Haj pilgrimage to Mecca. See the tree in the third example here:
