Hi guys,

Below are two one cent coins I put into "?" box sometime ago. They may have minor minting errors. 1983 has a vertical line right on top of liberty (bit blurry in the pictures).

What do you think they might be? Any option is welcome.

Thank you

The '83 might have a linear plating bubble. Can you please also include a pic of the reverse on the '72? Thx.

What are you seeing on the 72 as an error or variety?
I agree with linear trail gas bubble on the 83.

Thank you guys! I think I will label 1983 as "linear gas bubble" and put it aside with my (rather few) other US coins.

I will try to explain with my limited English, what am I seeing on 1972 cent:

It seems to have not centred, like a proper coin. It has a very tiny blank margin on below, and here we call those "off centre" meaning the coin was minted not on the centre of the coin blanc. I assume it's a super super minor thing, yet if that's correct I will label it as off centre and put it next to the 1983 one

John1 : I think it's a bit off-centre by a milimeter or two. There is some extra space on the south-southeast of the coin, compared to other cents.

John1 : Thank you! Either way I'll label it with a possible MAD and put it alongside with my rather small and humble US coins collection.
