I found this high grade 1959 D Jefferson nickel that looks to be struck through something on the reverse. Looks like it might be gold flakes or a thick kind of grease/goo? Anyone seen this before? Or know what it is? Worth anything?
Thanks for the welcome!! I haven't tried soaking it in acetone yet. This might be a dumb newbie question, but does soaking in acetone damage the coin at all?
