Well first off, this coin is not a proof. The DDO is for the proof, via the link you provided. Second, I see no doubling. I don't think this is a doubled die. EDIT: The bottom of the rim on the obverse however is quite strange, can we have full pictures of the coin? Edited by SilverCents

Crop the images so not so much excess view that prevents a larger image to load. Then we will see more of the devices and less field areas.

It definitely won't be that variety since it isn't a proof, like Silvercents said.
I think what you are seeing is master die doubling which affects a lot of dies (and therefore coins) for the year. The short gouge inside the top loop of the S (STATES), the N (IN) and other areas.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Agree with SilverCents. The variety is on a proof coin. The SF mint made both proofs and business strikes that year, and it's impossible for the same proof die that made the DDO to have also struck this business strike coin. |

What you are seeing on your coin is master die doubling. All three mints shows this. There's also an issue with slight Machine Doubling. But half of the coins that year show this. So now the plus; You've learned to improve your images. |
