The is 1982 DDO-002. Note the devices are enlarged. While it looks like Machine Doubling, the devices are wider. Note the side by sides.

Congratulations on finding a great DDO. 1982 is a tough year to spot one, but not your variety.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Excellent find very coveted variety that only occasionally shows at auction. Prices on these are erratic PCGS lists it at $26.00 in AU with less than 100 certified in any problem free grade. Example for disregarding price guide. I estimate between NGC and ANACS another 100 examples for a generous guess of > 200. Add a few hundred more raw (not cost worthy for slab) and the scarcity of this doubled die is pretty apparent. I sniff for this coin constantly and attempt buying any problem free example at retail or below I can, just does not come up often. IMO this and the 1980 ddo-001 are in same boat. Though realistically worth 40-50 bucks to a variety collector there is no way I would sell it at retail. If you found it keep it would take months of Sundays finding another.
Added bonus is instant insight into a doubled die, most characteristics are displayed on the 1982 FS-101 : extra thickness, serifs, clear naked eye doubling on motto,a misaligned die for use as pickup point. Freedom from the brain drain called machine/strike doubling, some can't get past it and torture themselves and others. You may assume my partiality to this variety, its a bad mammajamma! Congratulations and keep searching.
