Well done on the attribution and the coin. It looks to be at least an MS64. (I was just starting to check the markers and wasn't seeing them on Dave's link.)

Greasy Fingers: How dose that stuff work ? I have never cleaned or dipped a coin. Also will it mess up the original patina of the coin ? I would HATE to send it in for a grade and it comes back as CLEANED

Wow what a stunningly beautiful coin! Great find!
I'll make no comment on whether or not to clean it with Verdi-Care, as I have no expertise at all when it comes to it.
On a side note, never knew that BadThad created it, wow!

So how did I figure this one out. Small images of the coin on the mintmark area. I keep envelopes from bills I don't pay (pay online) as scratch paper. So on this one, I used an envelop to see the location of the mintmark in relation to the date. Measuring where the envelope could be placed, I determined the location was not correct for the mintmark location of DDR-001. Checked coppercoins and sure enough it was listed there. I guess I'm resourceful.

I think all of us should stop recommending Verdi because you can not buy it anywhere. John1
