The numismatic significance of a piece of metal that happens to be the same size of a dollar would have to be proven to me. I wouldn't consider it anything numismatic until a weight and composition were given to me, and that weight and composition matched something numismatic. It could be a blank brass ID tag for all you know. The fact that things have the same size as something else is of very little relevance. More of a starting point than a conclusion.
I sure wasnt saying it had a numismatic anything. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I was going to post the picture when I noticed it was the same size as the ike just for reference.The "thing" is 38mm wide and copper, It weighs .365 oz or 10.4g
