To CCF. what you have is a coin with split plate doubling Its a spender. You will see MANY with this in the Zinc cent coins. ALL spenders. Happy Hunting. Have a lookhttp://www.error-ref.com/split-plate-doubling/
No its an actual error coin I looked up on Coppercoins.com and matched it with 1989 D-1mm-012 D/D west (MDS) I the mark above the U in the first picture indicates that but what I'm asking if its in good enough shape to have graded?
It's not a RPM, WayG, just split plate doubling as has been said. If you want to waste money grading a coin that will come back without the variety attribution, go ahead.
It's to hard to see a D/D on your coin due to it being a TINY little mark and with your pictures. Aside from that the coin is NOT worth sending in for a grade. The coin is in bad shape. They would NOT give it a grade and send it back thus losing you money. Not worth saving making it a spender. The marks next to the Memorial is just PMD even more so making it NOT a Desirable coin. Save your money and spend that cent.
