Good morning coin community! I thought I'd post this and get some opinions on if this could be another d stamped on coin or just a scuff. It looks pretty close to being a D. Idk

I'd say either a bag mark or circulation damage.

Appears to be a ding--pushed metal.

Say, what's that parallel diagonal line(s) running from forward cheek to back of neck?

Have you ever used a rubber stamp? You might get an outside edge to stamp on an envelope. But can you get a center letter to punch all by itself? It can't be done. Same way with a die. If there's an extra letter and it's smaller and incuse, how could it happen from a die strike? But you might be thinking it might be a RPM? But the mintmark would be raised and the same exact size as the one on the coin already. But it didn't happen that way. It is coin contact. Just damage on the coin.
