I'm bidding on this one. PCGS holder. I think they may have undergraded it a touch.

The almost total lack of diamonds on the ribbon is disturbing to me.
That makes it a "gift" grade if it's even as high as XF-40.

Looks EF-40. Those diamonds might have pulled it a VF-35.

I'll force myself to give it EF-40 But to me this coin is loaded with issues that I would not give it a second look at if I was looking for an EF-40 08-S IHC . Sorry to say but you know I'm not a sugar coater unless it deserves to be , eye appeal 4/10 !

Those scrapes on the obverse really detract from the eye appeal. It didn't get a details grade?

I don't think those are scrapes, but just an alloy disturbance. Agree it is hardly choice for the grade.

DETAILS Cleaned. Crud only in nooks and cranny's (cleaner could not get to/maybe they used non-abrasive cloth and a detergent). If not, then what the consensus above is from everyone else.

Agree that there is a slight amount of woodgrain in this coin. And, I agree - I think it has seen an old cleaning. I'll go with a grade of 35.

PCGS graded this as VF-35, straight grade. I got outbid on this one.
