I'd like to hear your expert opinion's. It doesn't look "step like" with my loupe, but look's a little flat under the scope.

the fact that both date and mintmark are doubled says that this is Machine Doubling. Until the late eighties the mintmark was punched after the hubbing process and therfor wouldn't be doubled with the rest of the coin.

Ok, so could that be a rpm with Machine Doubling on the same coin? Maybe Plating Split Doubling?

This coin shows Machine Doubling.

Can a coin that is an RPM also have Machine Doubling damage. Certainly:-)

Still this coin is completely Machine Doubling damage as well as the plating being split around the mintmark.

Thanks,
Bill.
