Hello, I've been trying to learn the art of recognizing RPM vs non RPM. Been studying the various sites(Variety Vista, error-ref, and others) as well as Coop's work and my old copy of "The RPM Book" by Wexler and Miller and I'm pretty good at identifying RPM on the Lincoln cents and Jefferson nickels, but these two S mints have enough DDD/MD to stymie my efforts. I have tried to present a strong "non RPM" case, but a few features are still giving me pause. Any feedback/suggestions that can improve my game would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Any areas showing a flattened area is Machine Doubling. What years are these. Best to post one coin per thread. You can still edit the posts for 24 hours after they are created. Coins after 1989 don't have RPMs on them. The mintmark became part of the dies design in 1990. (Thus why you see no RPMs listed after 1989)
it is very helpful to us to show just one coin and show us the whole date/coin. It is difficult to learn, but good on you for asking! That's how you learn!
Check out this thread on how to ID RPMs on my post. (You might want to copy that information or even do a screen shot to save all of the info with images) http://goccf.com/t/375635
