For many years, about 20, I have this coin in my collection,
It is very thin.
Diameter - about 1.2 sm
It seems to be Arabic. :)
That's all I can say about it.
Thanks in advance.

It is indeed "Arabic" - more specifically, it was struck in Constantinople, Turkey when it was part of the Ottoman Empire, before World War I. The date on it reads to be "the 4th year of the Sultan that began his reign in the year 1255 of the Islamic calendar", which converts to 1842 AD.

Is that centimetres? if so, then the best correlation is to the 10 para denomination, although the picture in the catalogue for that coin is slightly larger (1.6 cm). It's made of "billon", which is very, very debased silver (probably somewhere around .100 fine). Not particularly scarce - probably worth a couple of dollars.

Thank you very much.
I might be mistaken with 1.2 cm.
It is not for sale. Only for my collection.
Thanks again.
