Hi,
Please have a look to the attached image of Lincoln Penny coin. To me it appears that there is no connection between head and body of President Loncoln!
Please let me know your opinions.

Not sure what you mean, I can very clearly see the neck area. The early zinc cents often had poor plating which made a lot of the design features amorphic and blob-y, but the neck is definitely there.
