Just found this coin and was looking at IGWT when this suddenly appeared in front of me. What on earth is this? PMD?

EDIT: There also appears to be something by the eyelid? Please confirm with me that it's a stain.

I don't think that this is a die crack on Abe's noggin, but rather old damage that has been worn partly flat.

Or received a hit in circuclation. Most die cracks are horizontal. Ir they wrap around the head, not like an axe stroke to the head?

On a doubled eyelid, the are should be raised from the surface of the design. If something is pressed inwards, then it is likely damage to the that area of the coin. ( PSD 99% of the time, 1% a mint error) Coins are not treated like eggs. They take a beating, a lot.

Something in the belly button. Not part of the coin. Toothpick will remove it. Not the color is not the same as the coin.

Wow. You were right. It came right off. It's as if you held the coin yourself. Thanks Coop.
