I saw the email as soon as I got home a little while ago! We should all feel a great sense of accomplishment here!

That is really great news. I so wanted to play with this person though. Oh well, all the ends well

Susan, Thanks for helping stay on top of this horrid person! What is the story with her prior (unfortunately temporary) NARU status? Don

Hi SFDukie and welcome to our forum! I have no reason to believe that this is a temporary suspension. I think it's probably for good. She flaunted ebay's policies in their face over and over again, even after she had auctions pulled for the same violations. Is there a reason why you feel that this is temporary?

I'm still navigating my way around the forum; as a newbie, I'm still getting my feet wet. Pamela Donnelly (pfd1966) shows up in several threads, so I'm sorta scattering my responses all over the place. Nevertheless, unless she is being prosecuted by several law enforcement agencies as alluded to in another forum, I suspect she will attempt to return to ebay under a new identity, probably complete with new mailing address, bank account, credit card, etc. However, I do not believe she can truly hide her identity: her modus operandi are too obvious with the poor pictures, intentionally vague, brief, and misleading "estate" descriptions, righteously indignant responses to negative feedbacks (I'll wager she'll get one very early in her operation), and sheer numbers of obvious fakes/copies. All we have to do is maintain constant vigilance.

Hi Susan, Regarding Scamela's (gosh, I came up with that moniker and it fits so well, if I do say so myself), status I was relying on some of the sceptics at the other forum who had noted that she had a temporary NARU status before yet had returned, and the fact that it had taken sooo much effort to get ebay to suspend her despite such obvious deceptive tactics and outright fraud. Hope you are correct and wish ebay would be more transparent regarding such matters-IMO they should have a page which tells why Scamela has been suspended or banned to which one is directed when one of her auction is acessed or one clicks on her user profile. Although that would be entertaining, it really wouldn't serve a purpose. Looking at this from a purely objective standpoint, the only important thing is that they took action against her eventually for her first ID and within a couple of hours for the second ID. There are many of us who are very emotionally keyed up where this particular seller (and any other scammer who has been this successful at it) is concerned. It helps to take a step back and look at the big picture. The most important thing is that we're making progress. Hopefully, the momentum from this victory will continue and we can start to really make a difference!
