I would say that it is a slightly less Close AM, which means that it is just a normal coin
Die wear and polishing/abrading can cause the letters to separate slightly but never as much as a genuine Wide AM and of course as mikep mentioned, the initials are the best diagnostic.

It's a normal coin. The shape of the A is different on Wide AM cents. There are also a dozen other pick-up points that will tell you one way or the other.
